How much does a website cost in 2026?

April 22, 202610 min read

You Google "how much does a website cost" and get answers from 500 PLN to 50,000 PLN. Super helpful, right? The problem is that most of those articles are written by someone who’s never built a website, or someone who wants to sell you their service without giving you any real numbers. We build websites every day — so here’s the real story.

Three price ranges — and what’s behind them

The website market in Poland in 2026 falls into three clear categories. Each has its place — but you need to know what you’re getting for your money.

1. Template / website builder (1,000–3,000 PLN)

Someone takes a ready-made WordPress template or builds a Wix site, swaps the logo and colors, drops in your text — done. Looks OK at first glance. The problem? 500 other companies have the same site. It loads slowly because the template drags along a ton of unnecessary code. After six months, you realize you need to pay for plugins, hosting, updates — and nobody’s handling it because the website guy stopped answering his phone.

2. Freelancer (3,000–8,000 PLN)

Better than a template because someone actually designs the site for your business. But freelancers have their limits — they usually do either design or code, rarely both well. They don’t have a team, so if they get sick or land a bigger project, your site stalls. SEO? Maybe basics. Google Ads? Probably not. Post-launch maintenance? Often zero.

3. Agency (8,000–25,000+ PLN)

You get a team: designer, developer, SEO specialist. The site is built from scratch for your business. Fast, optimized, with a plan to actually bring in customers. More expensive upfront? Yes. But it’s an investment that pays off — because a website that doesn’t bring customers costs you more than not having one at all. Case in point: Celtic Self Storage saw +140% online bookings after their new site with us.

At SwiftBuild, websites start from 8,000 PLN. The exact price depends on scope — number of pages, features, and integrations. Before you pay a single zloty, you’ll see the finished design.

What affects the price of a website?

Here are the key factors that push the price up or down:

  • Number of pages — a business card site (5 pages) is different from a full service site (20+ pages)
  • Features — a contact form is standard, but a price calculator, booking system, or e-commerce is a whole different league
  • Copy and photos — if you have good materials, great. If not, someone needs to create them, and that costs money
  • SEO from day one — a site optimized for Google from the start is a different beast from the "add SEO later" approach
  • Maintenance and growth — a website is not a billboard. It needs updates, security, and ongoing development

Why cheap = expensive

We see it all the time. A company orders a website for 2,000 PLN. After a year, the site is falling apart — slow, outdated, invisible on Google. The owner goes to someone else and pays another 5,000 PLN for fixes. Or gives up and goes back to word-of-mouth. All told, they lost 7,000 PLN and two years, when they could have invested in something that works from the start. DeluxDeco saw +180% organic traffic after their new site. Letra.pl broke into Google’s top 5 for their main keywords. That’s not luck — that’s what happens when a site is built right from day one.

What about post-launch costs?

A website is not something you build once and forget. Hosting, domain, SSL certificate — that’s the minimum. But for your site to truly work for you, you also need security updates, monitoring, and occasional fixes. That’s why we offer monthly maintenance packages — from 800 PLN for basic upkeep, through 2,500 PLN with SEO, up to 4,500 PLN with a full Google Ads package.

How to choose wisely?

A few questions worth asking before you choose a provider:

  • Do they have a portfolio with real projects and results? Not mockups — real websites
  • Do they understand your business? Someone who builds a dentist’s site the same way as a software house site doesn’t understand either one
  • What happens after launch? Are you left alone, or do you have support?
  • Will they give you a concrete price before starting? If not — run

Summary: what’s worth spending money on?

If you run a business and want your website to bring in customers — don’t look for the cheapest option. Look for one that pays for itself. We launched Terminovo in 14 days. Celtic Self Storage saw +140% bookings. Letra.pl is in Google’s top 5. These results didn’t come from cheap templates — they came from solid work.

Wondering whether WordPress is enough, or if a custom-built site is the better choice? We’ve compared both approaches — with real examples.
