About the project
Common Thread is an online atelier based in Poland that designs hand-woven, made-to-order Berber rugs together with its clients. There is no showroom and no stock — each rug is woven in a partner workshop in the Atlas Mountains only once the client has approved the style, colours, and size.
Responsive Design
Challenge
A made-to-measure rug takes months to arrive and can't be touched in a shop beforehand. The website had to replace a showroom visit: explain the differences between five weaving styles, show the whole process from first conversation to delivery, and build trust before a client ever gets in touch.
Solution
We built a bilingual (PL/EN) website with a calm, typographic look that matches the craft. Each of the five styles has its own page, the commission process is laid out step by step, and consultation, WhatsApp, and sample-request buttons lead straight to a first conversation. Technical SEO was in place from launch: hreflang, an XML sitemap, and structured data.
